A new series of A Touch of Cloth, another continuity joke. Last season made reference to continuity through the character 'Connor Tinuity', this time they went for a more classic approach.
One of Cloth's coworkers points out there is something in the story doesn't make sense. (Spoilers: Cloth stole a stash of cocaine from the vice squad while he wasn't even working for the police)
"It's against all established rules of narrative"
"I don't have time for rules of narrative"
"But in terms of continuity..."
"Forget continuity. Sometimes you've got to break the law to protect the law..."
